HiSCoD Nepal is committed to fostering sustainable agricultural practices and promoting responsible tourism through our Agro-Tourism initiatives. We envision building resilient agricultural systems that significantly improve soil health and enhance biodiversity. Our programs provide comprehensive training in permaculture, designed to promote organic farming methods while simultaneously protecting indigenous crops and preserving the rich cultural heritage of local communities.
A core focus of our work involves the preservation of local seed varieties, ensuring agricultural biodiversity for future generations. In close collaboration with local governments, cooperatives, farmers' groups, mothers' groups, and sister organizations, we actively promote innovative practices such as Farm Stays, Organic Agro-Tourism, and the establishment of Community Seed Banks. These initiatives not only generate vital local employment opportunities but also contribute significantly to the nation's selfsufficiency, creating a harmonious balance between environmental stewardship, cultural preservation, and economic empowerment.
There are so many ways you can help create change that lasts a lifetime.
