HISCOD Nepal Successfully Concludes Three-Day Free Health Camp

HISCOD Nepal, in collaboration with HEPON TU-IOM Teaching Hospital, successfully organized a three-day free health camp from March 22nd to 24th, 2022. The camp was held at Kutumsang, a border area between Helambu Rural Municipality (Sindupalchok District) and Dupacheshwor Rural Municipality (Nuwakot District), with the aim of providing essential healthcare services to over 1000 local residents.

The initiative was made possible through the generous funding of Patron Mr. Sonam Dorje Sherpa (Hyolmo) and Le Fillet D’Indra France.

The health camp provided a wide range of services, significantly impacting the health of the community.

Key achievements include:

• 23 patients underwent successful cataract operations.
• Over 40 patients received general surgical procedures for various gynecological issues, including uterine problems.
• 27 female patients benefited from Pap smear tests for cervical cancer screening.
• 270 patients were screened for dental issues.
• 53 patients received tooth extractions.
• 67 patients had their teeth filled.
