The devastating earthquake of April 25, 2015, left a profound impact on Nepal's infrastructure, including the widespread destruction of school buildings. In its aftermath, countless children in affected regions were deprived of access to education.
Recognizing this critical need, and following a heartfelt request from Mr. Julphe Chandra Gurung, Principal of Shree Golfubanjyang Secondary School, Himalayan Society for Community Development (HISCOD) Nepal partnered with Le Filet D'Indra, France. Together, we embarked on a collaborative project to construct two temporary classrooms for the students of Betini, Nuwakot District.
This initiative aimed to provide a safe and conducive environment, enabling these children, particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds, to resume their studies and continue on their path to a brighter future. HISCOD Nepal remains committed to supporting communities in their recovery and rebuilding efforts, with a particular focus on empowering the next generation through education.
